This evening, I heard a portion of an interview with Mark Bowden on NPR's Radio Times.
Why am I telling you this?*
*The winning response will receive one (1) genuine piece of Secret Pants memorabilia. Happy bidding!

NPR... Hmmm. That's code for liberal. So, my guess: You want everyone to know how much of a tree-huggin' pansy you are.
Stars, stripes, and Fox News,

PS. Automatic weapons for kids.
You can send me a Secret Pants tee-shirt. I'd LOVE a Secret Pants teeshirt.

sometimes i think "steve the director" should have his own account on the message board.

It could have anything to do with these:
1) He mentioned Secret Pants because he lives near Philly 2) He mentioned PFF because he lives near Philly 3) He is a staff writer for the Philadelphia Inquirer 4) Talked about how Secret Pants used the name Escobar, which was the last name of the Colombian cocaine billionaire the his book, "Killing Pablo: The Hunt for the World's Greatest Outlaw" 5) You love "Black Hawk Down"

According to my research, the literacy level of secretpants fans is very low.

It's all about bright lights and pictures with these people.
That is why I'm one of the only people who care about the articles.
Also the reason that no one else listened to this interveiw Brian is talking about.

the prize, for those of you interested, will probably be along the lines of a "game-worn jersey" i have lying around my apartment or a pile of scripts i have lying around my apartment. it'll be something cooler than a mass-produced SP t-shirt, i assure you. and certainly among the things i have lying around my apartment.
-bc
hint: dammit, go watch all of or sketches. i know you don't have anything else to do.

(shhh. i'm creating a message board that people check and post on often, while at the same time cleaning out my apartment and tricking people into watching our sketches. who isn't enjoying this?)

The 3 fans who frequent the board have seen all the sketch numerous times...we need fresh blood up on this piece.

Or commentary.
Or blooper reels.
Or director's cuts.
Or re-enactments of the sketches (preferably by Ms. Philip's second grade class).
Or tapes of your family vacations and holidays (I'd really like to see what Steve and Paul got for Christmas '95 if at all possible).
Whatever you guys want to do. I don't mind.

My best guess is the fact that Brian Kelly mentioned Mark Bowden in the Black History Month sketch (he signed his dad's copy of Black Hawk Down) and that is why you are tell us about the interview.

that's right. you win the prize.
i'm thinking, maybe i'll make a weekly "obscure reference secret pants trivia game" thread. i wish there were more than three fans who occasionally check the message board, though.
congratulations, dan berg. we'll have to figure out what prize toaward you, now. i was thinking about giving away my "escobar" costume from the "AA" sketch, but maybe i'll save that for a better question... we'll see.
